DAY
1, Thur Arrive in North Georgia.
Setup camp. 2:00pm orientation meeting, and introduction to the
workshop. 3:30pm photo shoot; hike toward sunset shooting location.
Evening, after dinner (dutch treat at local restaurant) we
will return to the campground and sit around the fire (weather
permitting) discussing photography issues and or agenda for
tomorrow.
DAY 2, Fri This morning we will set out
early on a hike that will take us to a number of different wonderful
shooting locations, to catch that incredible morning light. After our
morning shoot, we will return to camp to prepare for today's road trip
to Cloudland Canyon State Park. After lunch at a local restaurant, we
will head off to explore one of the most scenic parks in Georgia,
offering rugged geology and beautiful vistas. The park straddles a deep
gorge cut into Lookout Mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, and
elevation differs from 800 to 1,980 feet. We will experience a variety
of scenery and colors today. After sunset, we will head out for dinner
at a local restaurant, and later return to camp for a relaxing evening
around the campfire.
DAY 3, Sat This morning we will set out
again on another early morning hike and photo shoot (optional if you
are too tired). After this we will head off for breakfast at a
local restaurant in route to today's destination, Amicalola State Park.
Amicalola, a Cherokee Indian word meaning tumbling waters, is an
appropriate name for these 729-foot falls the tallest east of the
Mississippi River, which offer fantastic photo opportunities.
After our time at Amicalola Falls, the balance of
the day will be at your leisure to explore on your own.
DAY 4, Sun Free Day. Based upon
interest, we may optionally head out for an early morning shoot. Being
the last day, we are leaving this as a free day, so you can go back and
explore any areas we missed, or that you want to revisit before
returning home.
Return home, mid-day, at your discretion.
