DAY 1, Thur
PhotoPlus
Photography and Design Conference begins today. The conference runs
the full day.
If you don't need 3 full days at the conference? Consider this (Optional) Tour.
Empire State Building and Midtown Tour. Go
on a midtown walk including Columbus Circle and 5th Avenue shops leading
to the Empire State Building on 34th Street. The tour is free but you
will need to buy a ticket for the Empire State Building Observatory.
Discount $9+/- tickets available in the hostel shop.
For
flights arriving at other times than the group arrival, you will need to
arrange your own transfer to the hostel (we can supply you with the
needed info).
DAY 2, Fri

Photography and Design Conference
The conference runs the full day.
6:00pm after the conference: Ice Skating in scenic Central Park at
Wollman rink: A true New York City winter tradition. Dress warm and
bring $14+/- for entrance and skate rental.

day!
The Grand Tour: The New York Hostel's signature program experienced by
thousands of hostellers from around the world. The tour lasts all day -
about 16 hours - but you can drop out whenever you like. Sights include
a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with spectacular sights of the city,
Wall Street, Financial District including Ground Zero, the free Staten
Island Ferry past the Statue of Liberty, an affordable meal in Chinatown
(at approximately 4:30pm), Art Galleries in Soho, Empire State Building,
Grand Central Station, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue
shops and St. Patrick's Cathedral & more!
In the evening, enjoy dinner at local restaurant (included).
DAY 4, Sun This morning we will discover midtown
New York (photo shoot). Beginning at Time square, we will explore the
heart of Manhattan; from times square to Rockefeller center and
from grand central station to the united nations, and beyond. Balance of
the day at leisure to explore on your own. Group Dinner at local
restaurant (included).
DAY 5, Mon Free Day to
enjoy the sights, sounds and flavors of New York. May we suggest a
Broadway matinee?

This morning, enjoy a tour of NYC Art Galleries. See NYC's best Contemporary Art in the hip galleries
of Soho and/or Chelsea. Dutch treat lunch after. Balance of the day at leisure.
DAY 6, Tue
Before we leave (time
permitting)...
8:30am Harlem Tour: A 3-hour
walking tour from the Hostel including the Cathedral of St. John the
Divine, the largest Gothic-style cathedral in the world and still under
construction. Visit Columbia University's campus, and cross Morningside
Park into legendary Harlem. Learn about the history and culture as you
travel to 125th Street, the Main Street of African-American America, and
also past the Apollo Theater. Option to attend a Gospel Service after
the tour.
Transfer to the airport for your
departure flight. For late afternoon or evening
flights, passengers may reserve a day room ( $35/person). |
